Dog treats can be yummy, healthy and festive too! This dog cookie recipe uses the natural coloring effects of nutrition-packed algae & dulse seaweed, which produces a green cookie with flecks of red.
Seasonal Seaweedies

1/2 c cooked salmon (unsalted canned or pureed)
1/2 c pureed peas
1 egg
1 1/4 c water
1/2 TBSP powdered Dulse seaweed
1/2 tsp Spirulina
4 cups green pea flour (or other suitable flour substitute)
Bowl 1 – Thoroughly mix dry ingredients together.
Bowl 2 – Thoroughly mix wet ingredients together.
Add Bowl 1 to bowl 2 and mix well.
Knead on floured surface.
Roll out to 1/2″ and cut into adorable shapes cookie cutters.
Bake at 325F for 30-45 minutes or until they reach desired hardness.
Optional Natural Decorations
Dusting with Calcium Montmorillonite Clay creates a lovely (and nutritious) powdered look.

They turned out really well but I had to add some flour. We gave them out to friend’s dogs over the holidays and they loved them too.
